It has been bone chilling cold here in our corner of the state, and today we finally got a change from the sunny and cold weather to precipitation. In the form of SNOW. I had to work in Eureka in the morning, and in Willow Creek, (only 15 minutes from our house), in the afternoon. This was a blessing, as the day went on the snow got worse. I doubt I would have been able to make it home if I was doing my normal work hours on the coast today.
We have a high tomorrow of 36 so I hope it sticks around for awhile...

How beautiful! We got some of the white stuff today too. The kids were so excited this morning to see it out the window. It has since melted, even though it is super cold out there still. I am hoping for more, but don't think it is in the forecast.
FYI, when my kids saw your snow pictures on FB this morning, they said they wanted to live here you live and asked if we could buy your house!!!! HAHAHA Watch out for the Carleton Clan, they are ready to buy up all property and take over the world! MUUUHAHAHAHA
What a beautiful sight. Enjoy it :)
So funny Sheelagh! HA! though I kind of know how they feel. I was having a conversation with Alex on the way to a work Christmas party tonight in town. We had loads of snow on the top of my Subaru from the storm. I felt like the "cool kid" with snow on their car because I have always looked at other cars with snow on them...especially as a kid growing up in S. Cal...wanting to be them. To live where it snowed! So funny how us no snow people think it is a novelty when it happens!
